What eIDAS is
eIDAS is the European Union regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions. It sets the legal framework for electronic signatures in the EU, giving recognised standing to signatures that meet its requirements.
For an operator, eIDAS compliance means an electronic signature is built on a recognised legal basis rather than an ad hoc method.
