What an HRIS is
An HRIS, or Human Resource Information System, is software that stores and manages employee data and the HR processes around it. Typical functions include onboarding, rostering, leave, timesheets and payroll export.
An HRIS gives an operator one record of each employee, rather than spreading staff information across spreadsheets and separate tools.
